PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

I am Héctor Casals, senior systems architect and founder of HccSoft. My specialty is not a specific technology: it is understanding complex problems, identifying where a system fails and designing a solution that can survive in production.

Since 1994 I have worked on enterprise systems that usually have one thing in common: they do not fit a standard solution. Many projects have arrived inherited, blocked or after previous attempts had failed to deliver the expected result.

I naturally look for inefficiencies, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement. Whether I am looking at an architecture, a sales process, an application or a logistics workflow, I tend to see changes that can simplify the whole system. That optimization mindset is central to how I work.

I combine architecture, programming, databases, automation, AI, operational analysis and integration. When a new technology is required, I learn and incorporate it instead of forcing the problem into the tools I already know.

Plataforma comercial para tablet Android y Windows conectada directamente a SQL Server. Centraliza visitas, clientes, observaciones, ofertas, presupuestos, tareas, pedidos y albaranes, permitiendo al comercial trabajar y cerrar acciones en tiempo real. Actualmente se estudia una arquitectura offline para entornos sin cobertura.

Critical SQL Server migration to cloud infrastructure under a two-week deadline, with active users and a recovery strategy. Completed on time with zero data loss.

More than 30 years designing, developing and maintaining complete enterprise platforms.

I started programming at 16 out of pure curiosity, before the internet, building small games and decision algorithms. More than three decades later, programming is still both a hobby and one of my strongest passions.

What attracts me most is not a particular technology but difficult problems: understanding a system, discovering why it behaves the way it does, finding its limits and thinking about how it could work better. That mindset follows me outside work too; I tend to look at any process and wonder how it could be optimized.

I work very effectively and autonomously, and I can go deep into a problem for long periods until I understand it end to end. When a project requires something new, I learn it quickly and take it to the level needed to make sound decisions.

Abina

Abina is a commercial and operational platform for Android tablets and Windows, connected directly to SQL Server. It brings together everything a sales representative needs during a visit: agenda, customers, history, notes, offers, quotations, tasks, pending orders, delivery notes and sales follow-up.

The goal is to let the sales representative consult, update, prepare and close actions in front of the customer without having to return to the office afterwards.

Current evolution: research into an offline architecture to maintain operations in areas without coverage and synchronize later with the central system.
